Hey guys, I'm ready to weld up my riffle tray for my highbanker and was wondering what kind of angle i will want to weld the riffles at? Greg at heckler fab told me to vary the spacing and angle of the riffles slightly down the tray, but i need to find a starting point. i will be using the lazy L hungarian style riffles. is 45° a good starting angle? Thanks!

Yea I've read it a few times, but find something i missed every time i go over it again. lots of info there.

Dont do all the riffles at the same angle
Do each of them at a different angle, that will improve your recovory

Where are you mining?
That will have something to do with the design.

My riffles will be in the mail tuesday. Their all I've been waitin for. Ill post some pics of the whole project here shortly after I'm done. I got into contact with greg from heckler, and he told me to vary the space from 2.5 to 4 inches while keeping the top lip varied slightly down the run with the angle not being less then 0° . And I'm in trinity county ,ca gold country. We have some real coarse stuff up this way. some smaller flakes to but, it tends to be on the chunkier side in a lot of places we work. if i knew how to post pics id post a pic of the kind of gold we deal with. thanks for the help guys!

posting isn't hard , even for a old goat like me! just type in your message and look above this message for the symble the third from the right and click it. then go to your pictures and select the photo you want. and post the message after the picture (attachment) is uploaded. 022.JPG this is a picture of me and my oldest daughter after she won her main bout for the MMA 125 lb. womens title bout in St.Louis, Missouri on 10-11-14 .

Did you decide on a pump? If so what?

My mining partner has one of those honda wh15 1.5" high pressure pump pushin 115 per min. Should be plenty to get us up and goin. Eventually i want one of those 2 or 3" duramax semi trash pumps when i can afford it.
