By the way the raod has been demolished north of Templin Hey 1/2 way to 138 not passable even with a 4x4

...Now that sounds like the PERFECT reason to travel in the company of someone who is CERTIFIED! :evil4:

WAHOO!

We used to dirtbike from Mutau Flats in to the Sespe Hot Springs where the trail had slid 400ft down the cliff.
About 60ft of it was GONE.
So we just got after the throttle a bit, (not too much!), and arched up the hill and came back down where the trail started again... Get 'R Dun! :laughing7:

How long has it been that they let the roadway go?
I better stop sending people over there in their su ba roos! >:D Huh?

Does it show up on google maps?

RMPTR:

The road slid with a landslide in 3 places on the old road in 03 when we had all the heavy rains in Jan & Feb. Went to go up to and old mine that I know of after the rain to work the tailings and found that I had to turn around and come in from the 138 side. I put up a couple of links that show pictures of the road.

Hey Certified,

That's tough, to get out on that road and need to turn around to get to the other side of a bad spot...
Lots of miles to drive!

The links were interesting.
Bonnie Keterl has done a nice job with the presentation.

I'd like to see that museum.
There's quite a bit more of the history of the area that could be digitized.

Any road built in 1915 is going to have some hiccups. I was just up there last week. Truly Amazing!

You can sit on the porch or come out with the big dogs!

Nice finds......aa

I actually live on ridge route and can see the castaic lake from my apartment. If anyone would want to show me the ropes around here I would love to learn
