Good job on such a great button, love it!

Congrats awesome button, detail is phenomenal! Banner!

Did I miss the picture of the coin you found with it? You have rescued a piece of history! Get that pewter button sealed up like Buckleboy said.

Congrats on the Banner. .
Looks great up there..

Does coating a rare and valuable button with the Elmer's mixture devalue it? I'm sure Steve knows his stuff but you might want to double check that before coating it with something.

No it doesn't because that process can be undone in the future.

Congrats on your incredible find!!!:occasion14: Amazing!

Thanks it was just a question. I meant NO disrespect to Steve and he's a respected member here for a long time as I know he knows his stuff, plus I think highly of him. But I know enough to be extra careful when it comes to doing anything to very rare items due to potentially large impact on collector value and just thought it would be prudent for the OP to double check before going ahead. I'm aware of the technique and have used it on old pewter spoons etc, but this Rev War button is in a different class. Thanks for the clarification.

No it doesn't because that process can be undone in the future.

Congrats on a fantastic find there…a well deserved spot at the top too!!

Any story or pictures in the hole other coins you can share?

sweet find, and in beautiful condition. congrats!

Great button. Our school is located in Southern Vermont, hopefully we can make a recovery as nice as that some day!
