great finds - congrats

Great finds for 2020! Good luck in '21. The flower button looks a lot like the Royal Navy ones posted in a link by Crusader on another post. Looks like Cru already shot down my idea in your April post. Oh well:dontknow:

Navy buttons (colchestertreasurehunting.co.uk)

My copy and paste did't take but type it in.

I am gonna say... BANNER find for your cut.

This IMO... is better than most you will see as examples in books.

Super well done and then some.

You have some specialness going on in that area.

You had a great year. Now all you can do is try to top it in 2021 :icon_thumleft:

Congrats you had a great year!

That's a lot of great finds! I can only imagine what next year has in store!

Unfortunately the Colchester site is not the best Authority on IDs, I only reference it when in agreement. Those rose cuff-links are incorrectly attributed to the Navy.
I don't shot people down only try & share the facts as I know them. I think your button needs further research but I suspect its early 1900s Merchant. Although as stated on your post, I have no good books for these, so it needs checking especially as it has no backmarks.

A lot of great finds this year. I assume you must be snowed in & finished?

I like the butt plate the best, something I'm hoping to find one day, but any gun parts are few & far between over here.

Hope you follow next year in the same vain.

No I'm not finish... I have found more stuff that didn't make this list..

Stunning 2020 wrap up. Happy New Year!
