🏆 HONORABLE MENTION Returning a dog tag (Brother found and pictures added)

Tom got the dog tag and wrote me nice letter. His daughter also emailed me some pictures. Here is what she said:
Dear Benjy, I want to thank you most sincerely for sending us my uncle Bill's dog tag. My brother was named after my uncle and it is so special for him to now be able to have such a keepsake. Uncle Bill was a great guy. He loved life and was lots of fun to be around. Sadly, we lost him in 1977 at the age of 55 after a long battle with cancer. I want to thank you for going out of your way to find my family. You didn't have to but it's so cool that you did. Bless you sir. What a nice thing to do for complete strangers. My dad Tom is 84 years old and the last surviving member of his family. He was the youngest of six. I am sending you a photo of my dad, my mom, My uncle Bill's Air Force photo from 1942 and my uncle Bill and aunt Lorraine"s wedding announcement photo, also from 1942. It would be fun for us to see a picture of you as well. Again I say thank you for such a great kindness. It means so much to us.Lynn Buckley

We just got a new all in one printer so ill scan the letter so you guys can see that too.

benjyH,
Outstanding result based on persistence.
Returning a dog tag (service tag today) to a WW II vet (or any vet) is history and closure combined.
I vote Honorable Mention for what you have accomplished.
Don.....
