Headed back to Lakeview Park today for another shot at the area adjacent to the Soccer fields. Sometimes I just get a 'feeling' about a particular area and this 'gut feeling' usually pays off! :laughing7: I'm sure we all get that 'feeling' about a hunt site and I bet we're usually right!

I started off by finding $4.10 in one hole, that's 410 pennies! :laughing7: Sure glad I didn't have dig all those; a big thanks to our government for introducing the $1 & $2 coins! :notworthy: I then dug the soccer whistle, I sure wish it had been brass! :-\ Well the day was winding down and I told myself, "just two more passes", then I'm done" as it was starting to get dark. That's when I got another solid penny signal, I cut the plug and saw the sterling silver heart necklace in the hole! I'm really surprised I didn't slice through the chain as it was still hanging out of the side of the hole! :o Total change found for the day was $6.83.

Thanks very much for looking and Happy Hunting, :icon_thumright:
Dave

good hunt! Love those large denomination coins!

I love finding the large $2 coins as well Deb, they add up fast! ;D
My modern coin finds this year . . . totals almost $400 and the years not over yet!

Best of luck to you,
Dave

Dave,
Those $1 and $2 coins are way cool. I wish we had those too. Congrats on the silver necklace and the 410 pennies. I bet that weighed the old pouch down a bit. :laughing9:
As afar as:
"I just get a 'feeling' about a particular area and this 'gut feeling' usually pays off! I'm sure we all get that 'feeling' about a hunt site and I bet we're usually right! "
I know the feeling. It usually pays off.
Glad to see you were able to get another hunt in before old man winter sets in.

Nana

sweet chain Dave.you are so right about that feeling or hunch. I always go when i get that inner voice.it happened to me when i woke up and i went!

Nice silver necklace, I'm surprised you didn't brake it. Great recovery, HH

That is a nice bit o Silver.

I found no Silver chains this year, last year 3.

The 1 and 2 dollar coins do add up. Good clad count Dave. I remember when I first heard talk of a 5 dollar coin, and thought it ridiculous, but would be nice finding those. I hope when / if they do produce a 5 dollar coin that they make it out of something besides the crap that most Can. coins are now made of.
