Return To The 1803 House

Today we went back to the 1803 House where I got the beautiful Two Cent Piece and the Lincoln Campaign medallion last week. Today was a good day with everybody getting some thing good; Bob used my E-Trac today on his second ever hunt. He got a 1947 Dog tag and his first ever Wheatie! Diane got a first for herself, a 1942-S War Nickel and she was pleased. She also got a no date Buffalo Nickel and the oldest coin of the day an 1881 Indian Head.

I found one and a half Crotal Bells, 4 Wheat Cents, and a Buffalo Nickel 193?

And the prize of the day for me is this beautiful 1918 Standing Liberty Quarter!

nice, congrats on all the 1sts

Very nice SLQ! A lot of great 1sts

Man that SLQ makes me a bit green with envy, but Congrats on the save !! Having a silver quarter of any kind drought atm!! But at least I have found some good rings lately so given that I am in a good mood =D

Can you possibly give us a real good close focused shot of the date - the 1918-S ,8 over 7 is worth really nice bucks $$$$
either way - you have a great find - please update us as to he possible overdate variety .

Very nice finds. Have to say the SLQ would be my favorite.:icon_thumright:

it is the standard date, but no matter it is a beautiful girl anyway!

If you don't mind me asking. What do you do to get your coins looking so good??
Typically just soap and warm water, the nickels that are not key dates and are crusty I hit with a SOS pad. On coppers soak in olive oil to loosen dirt and use a soft tooth pick to work on tough dirt.
