Reproduction? Found last weekend

I was MD'ing in Port Clinton, OH last weekend when I found this coin/medallion in the sand/surf (Lake Erie). This is how it came out of the ground so that's why I think it's fake. It registers as silver and I have looked at it with a loupe and didn't find "copy" on it anywhere.

Ok Experts...what cha think?

Looks fake to me, but I am certainly no expert. I have dug a few pieces of silver before though, and none of them looked like that! Still, pretty cool, especially if it is reading silver!!!

Definitely a replica. They didnt use the casting method
of coins back then. Looks good though :P

Casting isn't necessarily a deal breaker for a good find, but when it looks like it was made yesterday it is.

Probably look good around your neck...then again, gift it to a favorite person...
