Remember "Hollywood Knights"

This was one of the funniest movies I can recall and opened the doors for movies like Porkies. Tony Danza had a role in it, but mostly a cast of unknowns. They last showed it on HBO several years ago, but now you can't find a trace of that movie. I don't believe that it was ever released on VHS, so I won't even think about a DVD. If you never saw it and want to laugh I suggest that you see it
The one armed violin player scene alone is priceless :laughing9:

Re: Remember "Hollywood Knights"

watched it 3 times on the Encore Channels
in the last 6 Months. (Uncut version).
I Believe it was on MTV last year Also but Butchered
to the TV-Y Version.

next time I see it Listed I'll try to remember this
Post.

Great movie! I stumbeled upon the Hollywood Knights by accident when it was shown on TV and laughed m a o! Years later I bought the DVD (it's one of the very few I own), none of my friends had ever heard about this movie but liked it when I recommended it. (Makes me laugh when I only think about some of the scenes now.)

Oh - and "Big trouble" is another comedy just as funny.

I would agree with you 100% on your assessment :icon_thumleft: I finally found a well priced copy on e-bay to add to my collection. What is remarkable is that it's really a funny movie from beginning to end and a blast to see a young Michelle Pheiffer and Fran Drescher. This was either Michelle's 1st, or second movie appearance and Fran's 3rd. I would say my favorite scene is the punch bowl incident. "This punch was a little wang to it". But there are dozens of re-memorable scenes:laughing9: It is amazing even by word of mouth that this little gem doesn't get much recognition.
