The big piece looks like it may have had a handle ring or something broken off the end, like an adz, etc. A wood wedge is thicker than that. The tack looks like a roofing nail? Tony

The wedge thing has been peaned over from a hammer and is thinner than any modern wood splitter? The nail thing is a cupped button with a nail through it. Not easy to see in pictures. Thanks for the help.

It looks like a felling wedge. They are thinner then a splitting wedge and used to keep the saw kerf open when cutting down a tree.
