hey guys been super busy but have managed to get out a few times. I scored a 175? Spanish coat of arms half reale yesterday while managing some bullets and a bunch of nice early buttons. I have a few ID items i need help with. One is the large brass object that almost looks to be a mold? It has lots of tooling marks on it and its been driving me crazy trying to figure this one out! Also the object with the rings and hook on the end ive never ran across before. Its cast brass and came from a pre CW homesite along with lots of the bullets. ANd Finnaly my wife was detecting with me on one of the outings when she called me over and said she thought she had a copper! So i took off accross the feild and saw what I strongly believe may be a Spansih Hammered Copper maravedi!! Its toasted but I told her that there was a huge story behind this coin and just how old I thought it was! Any input is greatly appreciated!

HH
James

Congratulations James and as Will said, I do believe you have yourself a nice Sword Hanger there. A well rounded cornicopia of finds. Were all of these TDI recoveries or did you use your DFX at all? Nice finds buddy :icon_thumleft:

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Josh the stuff was found using the dfx mianly spare some of the bullets and 1 eagle button with the TDI .

It might be a "resello" which means a re-hammered copper coin that changed it's value several times during different kings, but I cannot tell because the state of the coin. Sorry for not being able to help more.
The silver you can clean it with some ammonia.

Congrats on a great hunt

Sweet finds James and congratulations to your wife on an awesome find as well. HH!

Its likely... The coin has had a rough time with the ground and it was poorly struck as well... Thanks though!!

I believe the other find might be one half of a crucible, like for melting metal or extracting ore. That's just what came to mind.
