I got out Saturday with my buddy RT to one of his very historic sites. The gentleman that lived at the site was a Delegate to the Constitutional Convention & helped ratify it in 1789! It's amazing to think that he could have worn one of these buttons. RT had an amazing weekend with 3 large cents & a flying eagle. Sunday I checked out a new site & found what I believe to be a barn, hopefully I can find a home site nearby It was a beautiful weekend to get some fresh air & save some history! 1_buttons.jpg2_butt.jpg3_.jpg4_.jpg5_.jpg6_.jpg7_.jpg8_.jpg9_.jpg

The unknown piece next to the reins guide looks to be part of a broken trigger guard.

NICE FINDS......................

You are right, I had several others on Facebook ID it as such too! Thank you. I'm not sure there's enough left to pinpoint a particular gun/

Nice...! Looks to be an awesome site there, I'm sure there are lots more juicy relics ( and coins) to be found yet...O btw-the corset clip looks like a Colonial pull tab! Congrats..Ddf

I posted a pic of some misc gun parts over in the Civil War forum a few days ago. There is a similar piece that I dug, it is a little longer and it broke at the second screw hole.

Nice finds. I like the way your pics come out. Very easy to see the relics. I really like the design on that one spoon handle. Congrats. :occasion14:

Well done Josh! You got a lot of nice stuff last weekend, congrats.

Some darned nice relics you've recovered there. Thanks for putting the time labeling your photos, I know a lot of us appreciate it.

Nice finds. The piece of chain could be from a curb chain which was used on a horse bit.

I'm glad it's appreciated! I figure a lot of new people see this stuff but have no clue what is what
