I met these three teriffic people and we searched for a place to hunt out towards the VA/NC border. We found a promising spot and I knocked on the door. I asked if he minded if we metal detected his field and he said "Sure have at it" I asked how far could we metal detect and he said" Just keep going....its ok" HAHA that was all I needed to hear. Well not 2 min into the hunt and Ben yells "Large cent". Turned out ot be a king george copper I believe in TERRIFIC shape. He also dug an eagle button and some other odds and ends. Sherri found a nice cuff button and Buddy dug...and dug....I think he ended up with a few buttons. Here are my finds.

I heated up the "U S " and tried to bend it back a little....At first I thought it was a baby US buckle but now I think it is a rosette. The large flat button has some slight engraving on it that either says "2nd" or "25" along with some letters. I can't make it out. Thanks to Buddy, Sherri and Ben for coming down to my own territory and bringing me along ;)

Really like the arrowheads, I found some like that at a friends house in Ga. He has over 500 acres I hunt. Arrowhead hunt that is, I have metal detected some of it, but have only found a few bullets and some other junk. Not CW bullets. He does live near Shermans march to the sea, so I'm still hopefull.
