if it still can be found

While looking at Aerials, it is a bit hard to Measure Distances .
plus There are areas that became Landfill & Junkyard & Military Surplus . Possibly less then a mile from Rife, But as I said Guessing distance is Tuff. Best option would be to ask someone elderly in Rife area, or ride the road see how long it is to the first turn.
I Could guess Straight ahead Where Rife Road turns Right, on Township Land. But that looks like a Half mile to Me, not 1 and a Half mile

Yepper. Historical maps or boots on ground talking to old timers.

I dropped the ball on an old picnic ground .
It has been hit by a detector I believe....

Old maps showed a lumber company (?) owning it in the era it was used, and surrounding parcels being owned by private individuals.
It's location on the river , I somehow failed to record. So it would be a start over chasing old maps.....

Got his name. Daniel Reigle. So should be a good start in records.

Sadly the same area in 1938 Is Bare. No woods
And the Township area Looks like maybe a farm

Some trees still.

Any place water is near the road on the parcel you're looking at , and a few shade trees?
Tarps could have been used to.
Or revival type big tents/Marquis type(s) that could be adjusted for air flow , or just roofs used.

nope been checking the tax site for past owners ,
non go back that far and no Reigle's yet. though Reigle's
have lived in the area , the ones I knew had shorter then normal lives

Then you might want to stay away from Reigle Grove.

If you are outgoing enough you might try to contact some current Reigles and ask about it. All they can do is shoot you.

if I were to ask anyone it would be during a driveby & seeing an elderly person outside or at the Church. Or ask at Colman's
if anyone ever heard about it.
Since I Don't have the legs / Knees / Lungs / Back / health
to Detect for more then 3 digs tops anymore . It would be Purely for sharing on here if I Ever get down that way

Sorry about your health, my friend, and thanks a always for interesting posts. And I hate unsolved mysteries. Would be good to pinpoint this even though I will not be going there. I do not have a visa to enter Pennsylvania.
