Hello everyone,

I am new to the site. Have been finding civil war bullets on a site in Louisiana and found this yesterday at the same site.

Have been finding the individual studs for some time and wondered what they could be.

Not sure what metal it could be.

Any ideas?

I may be wrong but it looks like an old gear drive belt remnant. How big is it?

I'd try to id the metal then go from there.

Maybe part of a Louisanacathurim Mechanism. Kidding of course.
