Recent recoveries off the North Douglas Beach trail

I had to attend an Uncle's Wake in Central Fla. on Saturday, then headed back to south Florida. I awoke Sunday morning and noted the beautiful calm weather and thought what a great day it would be to get in the water with my detector. Then reality struck. So, I went to church, came home, then went to work for a 16-hour shift. I am glad someone followed their intuition into the sea. As we can see, it paid off big. Henceforth, a big Congratulations...

Just watched about a ten second spot they gave this on the local news "25"
I must admit I kinda liked it.. they gave no mention of where it was found other than the Treasure Coast and stated that it was not certain where it came from.
.... fox 29 ten o'clock news.
Nice interview Eric! ... "It's about the history " "the lives"
Your a class act.
... I loved the sound bite of the coins "clinking"

OMGoodness at the GOLD chains. Is that one continuous piece? What does it weigh? Congratulations on finding it and for making a GOLD banner! Way to go! :) Breezie

Booty Salvage,

Congrats on the incredible finds and getting the Banner! You must be still reeling from the exhilaration of making such awesome finds!

Take care and as always, be safe!

Now that is the rich stuff!!!!!

You all are living my childhood dream!

Rick, Eric and crew, a HUGE congratulations to you all. What an incredible find made by a great group of people. I'm so excited for you guys I can hardly stand it. MANY thanks for the pics with the Aqua Pulse detector in the background, it is so incredible when you fix a machine and then see it sitting behind a pile of treasure like that. :-) You guys truly deserve this find, diligence and hard work always pay off. I bet this trail is not finished giving either, so here's to what the future brings. Great job, I'm trying to get over so I can dive with you guys later this week. No promises but I am trying. Incredibly happy for you all!!!!

Jason

That is nice, and amazing that it came up in such great condition. You guys are on a good trail...just a matter of time (and a little luck) till you dust off a big pile of shiny stuff. Good luck, and thanks for being an ethical and respectable group of salvors, we could use more groups like Booty Salvage.

Hey Look, I'm Psychic (or is that Psychotic, not sure). :-)

We're certain it's psychotic, Jas :-)

This is truly what dreams are made of!!!
congratulations, please keep the pics coming!

I wanted to add that Douglas Beach detecting, although it has not paid out to me, has lured me for quite some time. In 1972 or 73, I placed wide tires on a little Datsun and drove it on the bluff road along the pines, north of the park. I could park it anywhere, get out and detect. That is where I first met Mel F.. When that pathway became impassable, I would hike from the park and north searching past Mel Fisher's old, beached barge. In recent years, I would drive up and night hunt the beach till sunrise. My last trip took me all the way north to the Condos. In that area, I thought, although it was getting above the wreck site. I might better my chances for a find. Looks like it deserves more attention after the storms.
