Hello all! I just joined the family not too long ago and have been enjoying reading everyone's posts. I got an XLT for Christmas...and New Years...and my birthday...and Easter...and Valentines Day. You guys get my point. Not a cheap item to purchase. Anyway I've finally had a chance to get out and do a little hunting and wanted to show off some of my finds. I'm guessing someone was none too happy when they found out they lost all their keys in my front yard. I also found two other steel keys, but they were pretty rusty and I didn't want to put them on my scanner bed. The curious button was found in the backyard along with the 1956 wheatie. I live in a historic neighborhood in Middletown, OH. I'm looking forward to finding many more great things this spring.

Hopefully you can see the picture. Apparently my scanner stinks, because the image looks a little fuzzy after I compressed it to fit.

Welcome fellow Buckeye! Looks like that site has potential. Keys are neat. That XLT should do you well.

For your picture...try scanning at 200-300 dpi and then reduce to a JPG. Usually around 400x400 gives plenty of detail and yet is below the 135k limit for posting pictures.

Hey, digger, welcome to the insanity. ;D I L-O-V-E those old skeleton keys especially the one on the left. I hope you find lots more to post.

Nice, The one key far left has a nice desighn on the handle. They look early 1900's. I have alot of similar one's. Xlt is a great machine. You'll get alot better with it as you hunt. No coins in your yard.

Good Luck Jer

Nice keys, indeed! They look Victorian. Probably clock or furniture keys. Neato!

I see an old anchor button, there... that could be interesting!

Can't make out the other object- what is it?

Welcome to the forum ! I like those keys. Good Luck with your future hunts.
