Mosin Nagant also makes a model 91 thats much longer ,same round very little recoil.But then 30 06 in M1 A1 doesn't bother me either.I've got a M1 carbine rebarreled to 45 Magnum that will kick you down if your not carefull,size and weight play a big part in felt recoil.My model 91 has a hammer and sickle on the top of the breach.
