Really old chopper?

Found this in bottom of box yesterday, not a personal find, maybe garage sale or house clean-out. Don’t remember. Nothing special but the Patina, Looks really old, not like outside Rind but really really old. Tell me what you think. Out of context, and no telling where from. I’m in TX.
Raw chunk obsidian, chunk of quartz with crystal, Iron sandstone type rock also in box.

Classic core. They were flaking off scrapers. Valuable piece of material there to those folks. Around here all you find are very small cores that have had every single flake removed that was possible. That core has lots of life left. Looks like they used both sides as the “striking face”.
