Confederate relics close to home

I went over to a old spot that I haven't been to in about 12 years. I gave up on it because it's been pounded for years & one of my old friends lived there. But anyway I wanted to try some new technology being a 19khz & DD machine. Well I couldn't hardly ground balance it with my 15" coil on so I put a smaller coil on & started finding relics. We did pretty good but the ground is terrible. I went back with a TDI & found relics that our vlf machines couldn't detect. Thanks for looking. HH

Understand completely. Bought an ATPro last year and am hunting several hunted out spots with success. Absolutely Great Saves. Thanks for your post.

Excellent hunt. Congrats on a great return trip.

Same here!!

Congrats on some great finds!!
i'm sure there are relics laying in huntable areas that will never be recovered.

Is that kettle metal or float copper in your photo. Thicker chunkey metal or the same thickness

Yes yesterday after I got off work I went over to Gettysburg & detected til dark. It's private property & not remotely close to the park.

Very Nice, I don't find many Gardner's were I live 6 maybe & none Dropped.
Was this last hunt with the TDI?
GOOD STUFF!

Yes buddy I was using my TDI. It's a deep machine but its deep on everything.

Dude, I'd hit that dude again and again. Low and slow! Were your Gardeners scattered or close? Looks like a cartridge box spill!

There was stuff all over the place once upon a time. It's been beaten for years just about like ever place around Gettysburg. Bad ground is why that stuff was left behind by other diggers. The place is a hospital and wagon park that AP HILL used during the battle. Thanks for checking my finds out. HH & Merry Christmas

Awesome lead! Gardeners are scarce as hen's teeth around here .

What kind of Confederate bullets do you find normally when you find them? I bet you dig a lot of Enfield's.
