This was dug by a friend and I posted it for him. It appears to be a king george button. How old is it? And how much is it worth?

Value is more about being a cool old find. Definitely nothing compared to finding a similar one with GW on it.

I don't believe these type come from the 17th C. Very few types did & they looked quite different.
