Beautiful find ! Do you work with the museum or did you just donate it.

I sometimes work/help with the museum. And yes i donate it to the museum.

If i would sell it- ofcourse i could get alot of money for it, but remember one very very important thing- not everything is about money. In a museum everyone can see it, forever... ;D

Not just some rich guy with a private collection. ;)

This is the right attitude, we need more people like this. How do your Laws on detecting work?

I record things properly for study but lend stuff to the Museum instead of donating. If I gave it to the Museum I couldn't use it for other displays, when I wanted.

As for your last comment;

I'm a poor guy with a private collection :D

This is one precious find. Hats off to you for donating it to the museum.

my father mad a rare donation to a museum in alaska,
when i went to it as an adult the item was gone and they didnt even know who he was.
Jerks
ill never make a donation of an item to a museum ever ever.
they will be lucky to get a loan.

You know you could have sold it to the museums, they buy things too. That's a very good gesture for you to just give it to them. Remember this is coming from someone without any money...

Keep @ it and HH!!

A very interesting find. I also applaud that you donated it to the museum. You're right...Not everything is about money.

Congrats on the super find!!!
