The past few hunts i found this token from a small mining town in Colorado. The Mint Altman Colorado. The town is long gone but was the highest incorporated town in the us. It's pretty rare, unlisted in the books, and it was a very small mining town. I found it in the local directories in operation for 1 year in 1900 the town burned in 1903 It's a little beat up. I used soft scrub and a stiff plastic brush and liked the results. Its always been tough for me to clean some of these. Also a crotal bell and a poison bottle. Happy Hunting!!!! If you google an image of Altman Colorado the town looks pretty cool, Pikes Peak is in the background.

Cool token up there! Most of the aluminum tokens I find down here in town are in really bad shape.
Thanks xr7ator, I have a pile that are sure ugly, this one could have been a lot worse. Sometimes they do come out just fine, but it's rare.

Nice historical save from a forgotten town, wow...

Pretty cool finds. I like the bottle too.
I did not even notice bottle, WD. You are right, a nice bottle. Thanks for pointing it out. I was focused on token since my digging has included coal tokens. I am glad that bottle wasn't a rattlesnake or I would be a goner.
