This new farm field permission turned out to be pretty good! Was able to dig a nice variety of buttons and coins. With some effort, I was able to revive the copper coin and I.D. It. The draped bust Dime sure looks like it exchanged many hands back in it’s time.

I'm confused , many of the comments here , starting with the OP , are talking about all this wear on the DB silver dime ? Am I looking at a different coin ? The one I see depicted here appears to be in at least fine condition ( slider VF) ?? In fact It looks like one of the nicer dug DB silvers I've seen on T net ever ! What am I missing here ?

I believe you might be referring to the sample photo that I included.

Nice going! I'd be looking in the nearby forest for some sugar sand to detect in.
