421 years old, and it's still in better condition than I am.
So nice.

''These tokens were issued by the City Council of Groningen and were tariffed at three stuivers. They were used to enable Council Members to obtain beer and wine at the Rathskeller (Town Hall restaurant)''

Having read the entry on the UKDFD, because its the first time I have seen one of these, it makes you wonder what use it was over here. There is some thought that even though we had a silver backed currency at this period that coins like my copper Liard of James II of Spain (Dutch Provence of Middelburg) 1580s circulated as small change, so I guess this would have as well. Most have been a nightmare to keep track of what was worth what from all these European countries :icon_scratch:

thought more people would like this ???
