Lol awesome. I love this site people are so friendly and helpful nice to see people that take joy in this hobby and are as enthusiastic over it I show my friends what I find and I get blank bored looks the dreaded whatever I don't care looks lol

None of that here my friend! If it's old and comes out of the dirt we love it. You're rescuing pieces of the history of your grandparents property. You will find some good stuff there. Anywhere there was people there was something good lost. That farmer with his team of oxen probably dropped a few coins out there somewhere.

I live here in the valley also the thing about the land here is it may be an orchard now but it could have been alfalfa ten years ago and who knows what before that,but you definitely will be finding old agricultural parts, this was all grasslands at one time and the river (San Joaquin) had ferry's that traveled up and down it so if you are close to any of those old landings you could find some old coin there.

Lol just finished a short dig in my dads front yard got a whole 31 cents in all and a GM key plus a hole lot of garbage lol not worth my inexperienced digging in the lawn sure my father will not appreciate the hopefully slight lawn damage lol
