RTR, saw one of these on Jay Leno's Garage, I just can not imagine why you would want it, but they said Shelby did it because after racing all day, he just wanted to relax, drive, and not have to have to do any shifting.

Yeah I think Carol had leg problems in his later years.A friend in our local club has a 427 cobra replica w/auto trans.But he drives it to Fla. a few times a year.

I remember seeing that years ago I believe. Back in the day to get more horsepower than cubic inch was not very common. 385 hp from a small block 289.

But then again, his name was Carroll Shelby.

You can do a LOT with a little Ford 302 :)
