By the end of 1863 over 100 companies had staked a total of 3000 claims, and the value of the gold removed that year was just under $4,000,000. The years 1864 and 1865 saw similar gold production levels. Most of the gold was found during the first five years of the Cariboo gold rush. Many of the claims were still being worked in 1900. It is estimated that William's Creek and two of its tributaries, Conklin and Stout's Gulch, produced $30,000,000 worth of gold between 1861 and 1898

Folks,

20 years ago Montreal had an ice storm that pretty much shut the city down for a week or so...not a pleasant time.

I'm under the impression you don't mind "repeats" from other threads ... one of my "oddities" --- a squirrel riding a gator in a tree.

No retouching or photoshopping ... as shot.

Tom,

If memory serves me correctly that ring is 24k gold with near perfect emeralds from South America and was off a sunken Spanish Galeon ship.

How do I know it was found by none other than Gary Drayton who's a member of TNet....lol.

Regards + HH

Bill

Don´t know his name. Just saw it on a short documentation on YT. I think it comes from the 1715 fleet because he found it on a beach were other 1715 fleet finds washed up all the time.

Incredible piece and find.

If I imagine I would find this piece.... 600.000 $ richer but could not sell it because it would break my heart. Would be easier for me to end up as a homeless guy (with this ring in the pocket!) as to sell it :laughing7:

I am so happy for Gary! Hope he has a lot of fun with this ring!
