I save everything thinking I'll use it one day!! Another thing I do is...I can't just have one. I worked on watches as a hobby. I always wanted a watch lathe..When I finally got one? I didn't stop there! I had to have 4, then extra sets of collets, etc.... Any of you have this problem? :laughing7:

I have multiples of everything...Like I'm afraid the world is going to run out!

Wanted a Phantom 3 Pro drone....I have 4!!! Time to Ebay some stuff!!!

I am the same way as you it sounds, one is not enough. Wanted a drone, but never could figure out which one, then I saw The Phantom being used by a TNET guy and thought maybe that was the one. Still never got around to getting one. :BangHead:

I've been low on money this year... I wanted a drone for the property that her and I own. I could no way afford one. What I did was watched Ebay like a hawk, just sat there some nights hitting the refresh button looking for a steal to pop on. I found 2 that night that were dirt cheap and needed work. I fixed them and kept the extra batteries and the best stuff for mine sold the other. Repeat...I had something like 7 of them before a couple weeks were up. Some I sold as complete parts, some I took apart and sold. I'm down to 4 and stopped. But I'll bet have next to nothing in those 4.

I'm good at doing stuff like that but always stop, and move on to the next mission.hahaha While boxes of stuff pile up.

If your looking for a drone the Phantom 3 professional..Is still one of the best, they are dropping in price and the phantom 4's really aren't that much more advanced. They are easy to fix! The biggest problem that I've found is that people can't figure out how to update the firmware, so they think it's broken. I bought a 3d printer the same way. They make the firmware and the updates too difficult for people that just want to use the item.

I'll have to read up on the Phantom 3 as it was the Phantom 4 that I was looking at. And when I was interested the Government stepped in and said ALL drones now had to be licensed. Of course, that did not last long, probably because how could they enforce every drone out there. :dontknow:

Don't get me wrong the phantom 4's are good! I had to go cheap, and the 3's are all over the place on Ebay. You can buy them wrecked, people updated to the 4's and their 3's were sitting in a closet, etc....But the 4 doesn't do all that much more for the price difference. But I did see a phantom 4 pro pop on Ebay yeterday for $300 and shipping. Which I thought was a heck of a deal!!

On the License, from what I understand it's more of a request than anything. They have a black box in them. A real black box, that holds all the info. You could crash that thing into something? They will and can figure out exactly where it came from and who's service it went through on the updates. I learned how to read the info from that box..It's pretty cool! I can buy a used drone and get the last so many GPS locations out of it when it was turned on. It saves all of that unless you take the thing apart and manually erase the Micro sd card that's inside that box. It will also tell you all the vital signs of each system. Pretty cool stuff!

But even with no License...They will find out who's it is, if it did any major damage.
