She lives out in texas and rescued them from some puppy mill......she really loves this breed. When she was young she was attacked by one and bitten very badly on the face. She has never lost her love for the breed.....even after that. Shes very pleased with them and loves them quite a bit.

That is NEAT Bart, Rescues make such GREAT companions.
Sorry about your sister and I can relate. When my sister was little we had a neighbour that had a beautiful female German Shepherd that had just had pups. They were kept in the garage and the garage door was open just a little. My sister stuck her face down there and the Mom bit her also in the face. The German Shepherd was placed in quarantine and so the owners had it tied up on a leash in the garage. Shortly afterward, the German Shepherd tried to jump out the garage window and hung herself. Sad story as she was beautiful and only protecting her pups. Since the dog had died, my sister had to undergo those Rabie Shots. She never got over her fear of German Shepherds. She was never happy when my White one was around or when my son would bring his Black and Tan one over. Tell your sister she did good.
