If its a Mr. coffee machine IT will stop the coffee flow when the pot is removed,and start when its replaced.

To be truthful, I have never had a successful corner notch before. Something always go's wrong with corner notches. Technically I always avoid notching because it's hard to do, but I am sure I can do something like what you have in your hand. The only thing I need is the glass. Usually I can handle it from there.

If that rubber washer is missing, when she pulls out the pot, the coffee will run through the basket won't it ?
