The nightly news showed some serious tornado damage in Dayton.
On an earlier pose WD mentioned some of her damage.

Not bad! Brainless but not bad :icon_thumright:

Good Morning!

Just checking in. We were very blessed. The tornado went down our north border of our property. Damage to house and barn is minimal. It took out our north neighbors barn and house has major roof damage. Took out electric and phone poles all over the place. The electric pole on our north corner was snapped in half and then stabbed into the middle of the street. Fortunately, these neighbors were camping elsewhere with their kids, so they weren't home when their house got hit. Cell service gets overloaded and my internet gets crappy, so that's why I haven't posted much. I guess nobody's up yet, so that's why I was able to connect. :dontknow:

Only one death in all of this. Hard to believe.

There was sirens and helicopters and drones all over the place yesterday.

Here is a thread with before pics of the area where the tornado hit. I cannot even access it now. Trees are all uprooted and sheared off. It looks like God, Jesus, and the angels are playing a huge game of pick up sticks.

My happy place

I can't vacuum, cook, do laundry, or wash dishes. So there's the bright side. :laughing9:

The winds sucked my fishing cabinet off the back porch and threw it out in the yard. Poles are all screwed up. It took a wooden cooler from one corner and placed it where the cabinet was and all the furniture in between was a tangled mess. And the life preserver was found out in front of my house. The trash was strewn in the yard in a path that heads to the north corner of the property and the trash can was found on the other side of the barn in the south east corner of the property. All the wood furniture we had on our barn porch was strewn all over the yard and so was the grill. That was the back up plan for cooking. It may be able to grill on, we will see. One of our barn doors is buckled. And some roof damage to our house. Seriously, just minimal mess compared to others.

I'm glad to see Peyton post. I know these tornadoes started over in Indiana. (I am suspicious that he may have conjured them up and sent them my way.:cussing:)

Anyway, we are ok. I will post when things settle down. BTW, Bart, I have fish pics, too. Literally, this thing rained on my parade. We had a very active fishing weekend to report. Oh well, later.

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!

~Sis

Wrightdigger has just convinced me to start installing my new hurricane shutters today instead of detecting at the beach ...the popped blister on my big toe from my new sand scoop has nothing to do with this decision
