Found this bullet a little while ago, I e never seen such a perfect result from a fired bullet. Do you think it hit something just right or is it some kind of special tip designed to do that?

It was designed to do that. I used to shoot .222 Remington ammo that had vertical cuts in the jacket at the tip. The jacket peeled back like that at the cuts.

It certainly hit square on to be mushroomed out so evenly.
Cool piece that I would save.

I find different leads, and some really show an impact, close range hits.

Always thought of starting a thread so folks could show their different bullets that are cool like yours.
