Afternoon hunt today at a old school annex and small park. Got silver, but not the silver I was looking for....but detectorists can't be choosy eh?
The loot! 36 pennies, 2 quarters, 1 dime and 2 nickels. And assorted items, rose plant tag, button off a coat, tiny aluminum disc, and tiny aluminum wire(6" deep, AT-Pro is good, no matter what people say.)
Oldest Penny. Young Elizabeth penny and I can barely see 196? on the back, since it's covered in GUM. Little soak in WD-40 will clear that right up.
Best of the lot! .925 Native silver and Turquoise lighter cover. Found buried under a tree near back fence of the school annex. I bet some kid borrowed his parents lighter to sneak it to school, then had to bury it to keep it hidden....and then forgot where he buried it. The lighter top was quite rusted, it's been there awhile.
After removing the old bic lighter.
Came home muddy, wet and toting silver....wheeeee!
GL & HH ALL!!
