Rain... Detecting in the rain

Does rain deter you from metal detecting? Or, do you do like me and just wrap your detector in plastic etc. I know that the guys with waterproof machines detect in water, but what about the rest of you? I have found that plastic ziplock bags, rubber bands and tape work wonders.

But, are you afraid to get wet, or do you just do the damm thing!?

My hunt this weekend is 40% chance rain, but I simply don't care, I'll be out there!

I use shrink wrap bags. Very cheap. crystal clear and in addition to waterproofing it keeps the scratches, dirt and wear off the screen. I leave it on all the time rain or shine. Just need a hair dryer to shrink it down.
