Railroad token?

Found and token today, at least I think it's a token...the old foundation was dated to be 1800's. Both sides have the initials "TMK" one side you can see the TM more and the the other side you can only see the K. But you can tell both sides were stamped the same. It was close to an old railroad so I was think some kind of railroad token? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What type of metal is it? It sorta looks like a knockout slug from an electrical box.:dontknow:

I agree it's an electrical box knockout. the marking stamped into it is the manufacturers trademark

It wouldn't be stamped on both sides if it was an electrical box knockout would it?

A railroad token should have the initials of the railroad on it. Also a number if a baggage claim tag. I have no idea what it is but I agree not a knockout for a box. Unfortunately you might have what is called a maverick token which I have hundreds and might not ever know the history or reason it was made
