Rabbit Whistle?

Found this today while digging a top to a soda can. Didn't know what it was at first and just threw it in the bag. After cleaning it at home, I discovered it is a whistle. Looked on ebay and found a couple like it, but nothing of a rabbit. Made of porcelain. And about 2 1/4" long and 1 1/2" wide.

Any thoughts or ideas? Thanks

It looks like a pie whistle...inserted in pies to let off the steam ,shaped like birds ,animals etc....

I wonder how many porcelain/glass whistles where made as toys for kids? I'm just taking an educated guess like everyone else.

I don't know.I wonder how many toys for kids were made out of lead in those days? I wonder how many kids got real guns for presents in those days? This is an old whistle.Not made in todays "soft" world where everything has to go through safety trials and tests and be pre-approved by some pansy group of worry worts.Think about it.Just an educated guess too.
