couldn't go to the location that i wanted to go because the owner wasn't home. so i went to a location that i didn't really want to go too because i have hit this place hard with my xlt every which way you can think of and had my new vx3 there a couple of times. i wanted to dig the iffy signals to see what i have missed and see how good this vx3 is. the only signal that kind of had me question myself was a 45 p war nickel. i also found that surprised me was a 57 rosie, 3wheats and 1 clad dime. i don't know how in the world i missed these coins in the past. i know you cant ever hunt a place out but this place is small.. i also took a pick of the trash that i dug. thanks for looking.. tex

Nice finds.

I think of the same thing. The same thing happened to me at an old ballfield a few weeks back.
I know I wasnt getting the signals and I was there before (and I mean standing there).

I really wonder if impending thunderstorms, ground moisture, and even the direction you sweep can bring a signal that wasnt there before.

RockOn!

Just picked up a VX3 on saturday... had my first real hunt with it today.. I will post it up when the pick of the litter is done soaking in peroxide.. Great machine :icon_thumleft:

Cool on the war Nickel Jim !
it pays to dig those ? ' s

Nice finds for a site that you've "hit this place hard" already! :icon_thumright:

I can hardly wait for next spring to come so that I can head back to a couple
of my older sites to find what the frost has "pushed up"! :D
