Early this morning I went to do volunteer work at my local community center and met a guy who was into detecting. We started talking about the normal stuff about detecting and it came up that he lives in one of the oldest areas of town. His farm was built in the 1870's. After we got done at the center we decided to go back to his place for a quick detecting session. In a half hour i pulled up a buffalo nickel no date and a 1953 D wheatie. He found a couple of dimes . The cool thing about this is I now have permission to hunt that property anytime ;D

Way cool..a new place to hunt plus meeting another detectorist. Double the bang, so to speak.

Cool finds. Why does the buffalo look so clean?

The buffalo nickel was in the barn area under a bunch of straw for stables and it was not in the soil. Makes me wonder how it got there. There is a loft area there also. I think i need to check that out....lol

Nice coins seem to be in great condition for being dug.
