I had a meeting this morning and figured once I got out I'd do some hunting. But once I got home, my son calls and needs some help working on his car, so there went that idea. It was about 6 pm when we were finished, so I decided to hit this little park by his house before coming home. Right off the bat I found a sterling pendent with "Rhy'n" engraved in it. Then I got a strong signal and dug out a brass Mickey Mouse thing that looks like a watch fob or something, and a Zone token. Then things went dry for awhile without anything worth keeping. I saw a little patch of trees and decided to give it a look, and man, my detector went crazy. There were targets everywhere, and they were all penny and dime targets. I wasn't even using my detector, instead, I was using my pin pointer to find the coins. They were that thick in this little 10 X 10 area. When it finally started getting dark I gave it up, and hadn't even dented it. There were still targets carpeting the ground. Funny thing was, it was all pennies and dimes, with a few nickels thrown in. Once I got home and rinsed them off I could see that there were a few wheat's included in the pennies. They are still too dirty to read the dates. Turned out to be a pretty good short hunt.
