Hey All! I thought I would start a thread asking everyone to post questions that a person new to the hobby should ask an experienced metal detector hobbyist in order to gain knowledge and excel in this wonderful hobby of metal detecting. For example, one question could be "What areas are good for metal detecting?". There is no need to provide answers on this thread (I will probably take the list and create a new thread).

Your best bet would be to read all you can of this website and any others related to MD'ing. From that, you should be able to formulate your own questions......which would be of much more importance to YOU. Also, study the detectors that are available, so that you can make a wise decision as to which one will best suit YOUR present and future requirements.

Get the coil over a target.........

All the manufactures have information on this to cover most any question. Garrett has many books covering where to go detecting. Start subscribing to Western & Eastern Treasures and Lost Treasures magazines. :read2:

1/ What days do you go detecting?
2/ Where do you live?
3/ Is your wife "hot" and bored?

;D  :coffee2:

ALWAYS RECHECK THE HOLE before covering and then moving on.
