I found this rock last week and after recently posting what I thought was a nutting stone that everyone seems to agree is a real nutting stone, I wanted to get some feedback on this. It has three depressions on each side in a similar pattern.

My initial thought was that it is natural but I’m starting to think maybe it’s a nutting stone.

What do you think?

how thick is this stone?

In what context was this found? In a creek bed? A plowed field? what?

What is the dimensions of the stone? What are some of the diameter of the depressions?

Those are the opposites sides? I'm inclined to agree with you. I have one that isn't broken and has five depressions on top and bottom and one on the side. Cool find.

It was found in a creek where I have probably found over 100 artifacts over the past few years.

The biggest depression on side A is around 1 1/4”.

Side B seems to be really pitted up in general which is why I initially thought it was natural but the three depressions on side A have me curious.

I’ve got two pics of side A from different angles and one of side B which has red writing.

im say natural BECAUSE it has the circles on both sides....also not the half circle sticking out of the broken side....same diameter as the depressions. It is also a very random shape to be picked up and effort put into it to utilize it....rough and broken. Most "nutting stones" aren't.
