Question regarding metal detecting at soccer fields?

i search around the outside where i just found 1oz of silver, and close to the goal because during practice the goal is where they hang out the most but hunt it all, just don't hunt during the season because of little ankles.

Well said gunntekk1.
That's why I stay outta the playing field. Even the most pristine "plug", can be a potential hazard.
Peace ✌

I hunt the playing fields but I don't dig...I use a screwdriver and only get targets that my pro pointer will pick up.

when winter hits my mountain I tend to hunt hispanic adult soccer fields more than anything else.Last summer I drove down the hill to two of them on a sat.and sun.to simply observe whats up.I found these things to be true;
1)its a bling fest.It seemed the players couldnt wear enuf.
2)mom and the kids set up,"day camp"as close to the car and in any available shade(2.00 p.m. ish)
3)the sideline crowd sits about 6 feet ish back,most towards midfield
4)moms with very young use the nets as a safety buffer
5)most physical contact on the field was within about 30 yards of goal.

my find history reveals;
1)3 gold rings...all womens so far..in shade
2)most clad near parking...in shade
3)second most clad...midfield sidelines..very little bling
4)bling on the field has been sporadic but worth it.early monday to beat mowers.screwdriver probe only
5)dirt parking area has been consistantly productive..coins and jewelry

hope it helps
