If the other side has same rim it's someone's unfinished ring. If it's bottle capped shape possible die cap error and could be worth anywhere from a couple hundred to several thousand dollars

The rim does not appear to have been spooned(as in a ring), but the bust has wear which I think is odd?

It is possible that it is a "Bottle Cap" Die Cap Error but we need to see the Reverse to make a definite determination.
