Well not mine but Cristina's...apparently someone gave her a 1912 Nickle...

good score , you dont see that everyday . my sister inlaw got a 1906 indian head penny last year at McDonalds. i was amazed.

Stefen....If you haven;t already, check it for a "S" mint mark...on the back at about 7'oclock under the dot in between the United and cents is where it would be....the 1912-S is a key date with only 238,000 minted and in G-4 condition is worth $140.00 or so.

I wonder how that thing ended up in circulation. She was lucky. Heck, most people out there probably wouldn't have taken it thinking it wasn't real or something. Great find, nonetheless.

She felt guilty and gave it to me as a gift in exchange for the antique diamond ring I gave her a few days before.

I got the better of the deal...I get to keep the nickle and the ring with her attached, of course.
