just found a setting which works great for knocking out the pulltabs and still find gold, on my terra 50, the setting is use prog 1 and discrim the nails and such, then get a ally pull tab and sweep it, sweep it a couple of times and knock it out at its highest number, which on mine is 12 this leaves 6 and 9 for gold which is golds strongest on this machine,, it works fine and is very stable, i just found one hell of a nice 18k ring today and yet again no dreaded pull tabs, or stupid cans, alot of people just use the factory settings with the sense cranked up or down a little,, you really do need to get into the testing and knocking stuff out leaveing what you want depending on what your searching for,, people say the machine where you seperate pull tabs from gold dosent exist of course it does, i have one,, pull tabs are found at 6 9 12 ,,, 12 being the strongest,, leaving 6-9 for gold, sometimes 30 for gold, get your sweep right on this setting and you've cracked it,, i suppose this is for terra 50 owners only who knows. i'll post the ring later haveing it cleaned at the minute, o i found a lovey sixpence too.
