So, yeah, guys, I hope they keep the dredge ban up! Because I'm planning to apply to the California river commission, and when I get in, I'll use state dollars to dredge all the gold under the false pretense of environmental cleaning! SO all this time the gold is just... building up.... Heck by the time I get promoted to California River Commissioner, the rivers will be soooo loaded.

* End of Farse*

Seriously guys... just imagine how MUCH gold is in California... The state and the GOVT want it... they don't want people getting all that wealth and not reporting it, or even reporting it, etc, when they could get it themselves. Just look at New York, all they find up there is RARE fly poop, and even still, every bit of gold found in New York Belongs to the state>... those guys need to send the NY Senators a piece of fly poop gold and the senators won't be ale to see it they'll think it's a hoax.

Another outdated law.

and then add 3 layers.carnival mirror house.hey, theres the yoosimitee owner, the one expertly using chopstiks over there yonder.sitting next to guvvy, just loaned him(us),few million buks, secured with WHAT?gear up time.lock and load.tc,tic, tic, hissss, know yer out there john, :icon_pirat:

Takota...
I'm not trying to piss anyone off or step on any toes here on TNet. I have been small scale mining for only a few years now so I am no expert. I will be the first to admit that there is a lot of things that I know very little about. I learn as I go and I am sure I'm not alone in this type of hobby.
You mentioned that you can't vote in Cal, and neither can I. I just believe if all the minors both big and small could unite it would be a lot more difficult for these anti groups to take away our rights.
I read somewhere else that a person was not all happy with PLP in Cal, but who else is fighting for there rights? There are a lot of little battles going on with the State the Forest Service DEQ, or BLM. I know that these cases are drug out to try and drain the average person of all there moneys, that's how they play the game.
I honestly believe that every person in Cal, who has a dredge permit should have followed in the footsteps of the one that sued and one. Lets bring the hurt to them.
I have been out of work for allmost a year now and wish there was more I could do to help fund the groups or mining associations that are fighting for me.
I guess I don't really have a plan, all I can say is if you or anyone else is contributing money to the folks who are working to keep us mining THANK YOU!

Sometimes court cases and the injunctions to them lead to worse outcomes, as we have witnessed here in Cal.
Not impressed at all with those fighting supposedly for our rights seems to be driven more by profit or the lack of and greed.
You do what you want with your money but as for mine it stays put.

What really matters is not what the state laws or rules are but what the Federal Mining Law states. Once people realize this and stand up for there rights then maybe we will get somewhere. Everyone needs to know what there rights are before they start mining, and fight like hell when the time comes. That includes me...

Although you jest, that plan could actually work. All you need are a few front-end loaders, bucket scoops, and a fleet of dump trucks. (Dredges, really? This is so much quicker!) Just scrape out all that "bad" dirt and rocks, haul it off for "processing" to remove the nasty gold particles that are causing so much angst to the hippies, then return the "green and clean" material to the river banks. :laughing7:

the old shell game.be mad at sacramento, while we really fix your clock on potomic ave.there is a reform the 1872 mining law group in congress.oops i mean, are represented in congress.while we have sent donations,e-mails,called our congressmen, guvvy, etc, our detractors have been renting them.hello, senator arnsteads office.oh,patches,hi sure i will tell him.when he gets back from lunch in the bahamas.friends of the coho flew him out last week.remember,670 was a cinch to lose, poof, indian casino money galore in sacratomato middle of july 09.august 9,09, 670 signed as an emergency measure.so all eyes on sac.,while we get rid of your nasty little mining law over here in mirrorland.get somethin really wicked, with an e-ticket. :hello:

:icon_pirat: New regs say do whatever, till caught then move, then try some more whatever you can get away with and so on. :laughing7: :laughing7:

Patches, maybe you should ask the PLP. :laughing7: :laughing7:

But really is there any insight of what is to come. :dontknow:

The latest shot from the EPA has put the final nail in the coffin-RIP dredging---John

At least they haven't banned owning the paraphernalia.
If there isn't any river or creek within 100 yards, I can still can legally sit in my garage with my dredges and reminisce of the days gone by. Maybe dust them off once in awhile. :crybaby2:

When will the bad misfortune all end. :dontknow:

Government oversight = Government Control = Government Ownership. >:(

Nuff Said.

find a fabricator, build a righteous hopper/slickplate/sprayer for that obselete dredge reco system.then dry yer eyes, and go run some material.get some gold.lots left on the benches/hillsides.oh yeah, weld some stout adjustable legs on there too.modify,improvise,overcome.toss them stock riffles, will be pumping water too far for those to work.high profile expanded over carpet/moss.perhaps a boilbox beneath the grizzly/feeding the slickplate.thats my future(or lack thereof) >:D dont give up/just gitup
