pro pointer problem?

anyone have problems with garrett pro pointer? i got mine this spring and it
has worked great all year but this fall i find when the temp. drops below 55 degrees
that it dosen't work. i had the same problem with the garrett gta500 that i
used for years but the ace250 seems to work ok even when it is in the 40's.
i have tried to use different batterys but that dosent help any. any idea or is
there a problem with just my pro pointer idaho hunter

It is probably a loose connection some where on the board that when the Temperature drops low enough the metal no longer makes the connection. I would contact Garrett about the problem that should be covered under the warranty since is a defect of some kind.

I have used mine in cooler weather than 55 degrees with no problem. Garret usually responds right away. I dropped my first one on concrete and it would make a funny noise when activated. I called them and actually told them what I had done. They said to send it in and 8 days later I received a brand new one back!!! Don't mess around just send it back, I would call them first.
