I was checking out some of these ground penetrating radar systems and I think I'm more confused then ever. I don't want to locate 100+ foot deep tombs or ore veins or water mains for that matter. I am interested in something that goes to a max say 10 to 14 feet and can show ground disturbances such as privy's and old dumps that have been buried for a 100 years or more or may even be under a clay cap. Is there any machines that are reasonably priced for such a task. Maybe capable of finding something the size of a cannonball a couple feet deep along a stone wall? I really don't have $50,000 to spend on such a system. Any recommendations? Any help in choosing a machine will be greatly appreciated. I'd also like to spend less then $5,000 if possible.
