I figured id give her about $10 for the peace dollar, $5 each for the halves. $5 for both of the quarters, $2 for the dime and $10 for all of the other coins. If i payed her 40 for all of them id still have room for a little profit. The only coins i really want is the peace dollar and the halves and silver qtrs.

The 1976 Eisenhower Dollar I would not value higher than $3. If it has an S mark, I'd go as high as $5 or $6, given that it would be 40% silver.

The 1923 Peace Dollar in that condition is likely worth scrap value which would be about $15. But otherwise could be valued as high as $25.

The 1960 Ben Franklin Half Dollar is worth somewhere around $12. Appears to be in decent condition.

The 1951 Ben Franklin Half Dollar is pretty worn and worth somewhere around $7.

The others I can't read the dates on.

Id pay $30. The nickels are toasted, the peace dollar is pretty rough, maybe just buy the silver tell her the rest she can spend at the store. Someone will be happy getting a buffalo in their change!

If your going to do this stuff you need two things... Current Melt Value Of Coins - How Much Is Your Coin Worth? and a Whitman Red Book price guide. The website shows the melt value of every silver/gold coin. The Red Book will tell you the value of each non-precious metal coins like IH and buffalo's.

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

I have a red book and coinflation, I was just asking you guys how much under melt I should pay her

The average buy rate is around 85% from spot. So 85% of what its listed for on Coinflation, you could be nice and pay 90% maybe get more clients from paying higher than everyone but won't make as much profit per coin. Hope I'm helping... :dontknow:

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

You can go to silverrecyclers.com and it has a tool that will give you the current spot price on the silver. Like someone had said, determining the condition is hard to do. If there are no key dates, I would look toward paying a percentage against the spot price.

As for judging Grade, don't worry about grade unless you have a coin worth a grade. :icon_scratch: Some dealers do work by grade, but only if you have a coin worth grading. :dontknow: If you have a 1954 Rosie or a scratched up peace dollar you should know they are not worth a grade. :sadsmiley: If you have a BU Franklin (A high graded Franklin half can go for several hundred dollars) or a 1916 D merc than yea its worth a grade. :occasion14:

Keep @ it and HH !! :hello2:

Our lcs pays this: $8/ dollar, $3/ half, $2/ quarter, .25/ dime. So If you're looking to resell them you better pay a lot less than what they are. Which I think is horrible anyways it's like half of spot! Dirtbags
